Yin Yoga Meridian Lines for Summer (2021)

In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at the yin yoga meridians lines for summer heat relief!

Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that focuses on deep stretching. The practice is typically done in seated or supine positions and may include poses such as seated twists, forward bends and lying leg stretches.

I hope you enjoy reading about how to incorporate yin yoga into your life this summer!

The Season of Fire

Fire is an expansive, creative energy that brings out the fiery intellect and passionate emotions in us. The power of Fire to stimulate creativity can be a blessing but it also has its risks when left unchecked. For this reason, we must balance our thoughts with compassion for others or risk becoming consumed by anger and destructive behaviour.

This summer look forward to exploring your capacity for joy through self-development exercises like meditation practices (or just living life more fully). We all have a fire within us – a passion worth fighting for! Let this passion guide you on the path towards better health while embracing connections both inside yourself and outside in your community.

Meridian Lines to Feel Balanced

Chinese Medicine is a holistic form of medicine that can be used to help diagnose and treat symptoms related to the heart, small intestine meridians. One such symptom is anxiety which relates directly back to an imbalance in both circulation and digestion as well as inflammation or excess heat (such as hot flashes).

The Heart Meridian starts around your armpit and runs down your inner arm, to the wrist where it intersects with other pathways before heading up into the neck region. Interestingly enough this same route also plays an important role in digestion as well.

The Small Intestine Meridian can be found on top of these muscles, running from just below our collar bone all way out to pinky finger at its end point.

This season incorporate backbends, forward bends, twists and wrist/forearm stretches into your yin yoga practice. These will help you energize the Heart and Small Intestine meridian lines. These poses open the chest area as well as your upper back- which can feel like heaven if you have any tension there!
